Findlay Post Announce OSHP Trooper and Dispatcher of the Year

The Findlay Post announced that Ohio State Highway Patrol Trooper Brian T. Schneck is 2024 Trooper of the Year, and Courtney Barth is the 2024 Dispatcher of the Year.

The Findlay Post recognized these two recipients by checking off multiple boxes they used to make their selection. Schneck has also received 2023 Trooper of the Year, Safe Driving Ribbon, Physical Fitness with Excellence Ribbon, and Field Training Officer Ribbon. In 2020, Barth received the Dispatcher of the Year award.

Schneck joined the OSHP in 2017 while Barth started in 2012.

Findlay Receives Funding for New Project

According to a press release from Gov. Mike DeWine's office, Findlay was awarded funding for a water infrastructure project.

13 projects were selected as part of the H2Ohio initiative. The governor's office says that the initiative is used to increase safe drinking water for state residents. From the $167 million, the Ohio EPA and governor's office gave Findlay $1 million to upgrade the Spring Lake Sanitary Sewer. The sewer system is a subdivision of Findlay that is connected to the city's sewer system, according to a data sheet attached to the press release. Now, those funds can improve that sewer system.

H2Ohio grants were started in 2019 by DeWine to address water quality problems throughout the state.
