At 6:24 p.m. Police were dispatched to the 100 block of Huss Street Thursday because of reports of gunshots and screaming. Once officers arrived at the scene, there were several individuals at the residence who had gunshot wounds, resulting in the deaths of two men and two children, with one having a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The events that led up to this fatal incident stemmed from a mother and two children removing their belongings from the residence after domestic issues. The mother and the father of the oldest child, Dustin Willey, planned to move out items from the residence, while they believed her husband, Ryan Eagon, was out of town for work.
Evidence shows that while packing up, the two children, one 7-years-old and the other 7-months-old, were hanging out by a vehicle in the driveway. They heard the oldest child scream out. They found Eagon standing in the driveway when they checked on the child. According to witnesses, Eagon went past the mother, firing multiple shots before turning the gun on the children, killing both. Eagon then shot multiple times at Willey before taking his own life.
Paramedics transported Willey to Tiffin Mercy Hospital, and doctors later pronounced him dead. The 7-month-old was declared dead at the residence, and the 7-year-old died during transport to the hospital.
The incident is still under investigation by the Tiffin Police Department and is being assisted by the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation and Seneca County Coroner’s Office.
