In a press release Thursday, Aqua Ohio announced it will conduct a water main flush in the Tiffin area on Monday, October 27th and the 28th between 7:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. They will flush out selected fire hydrants, which will remove sediment that builds up over time within the water main. 

There will be a drop in water pressure throughout the day, and Aqua Ohio asks residents not to do their laundry to avoid staining. If you see discolored tap water, wait a couple of seconds for it to clear before using it. Make sure the water is cold, and running several faucets at the same time will help clear the water faster. Avoid using hot water due to causing discolored water to enter customers’ hot water tanks.
