On Wednesday, Whirlpool announced it is investing $300 million in two production facilities in Clyde and Marion.
The Michigan company received financial help from JobsOhio and tax credits from the state of Ohio. This investment will create between 400 and 600 jobs at both plants. While Whirlpool states this announcement is an investment in American jobs and manufacturing with 80% of their major appliance sales come from products that are made in the U.S.
The hiring process will begin in early 2026.
