Man Arrested for Firing Gun Off

Around 12:16 a.m. this morning, Findlay Police Officers reported to the 200 block of Edith Avenue because of reports of shots being fired in the area. Another call was received by officers from the victim, who reported that a man had shot them. While one victim advised officials to search a nearby shed at 224 Lester Avenue.

 

Officers set up a perimeter around the shed and tried multiple times to make contact, but there was no response. The home owner gave them consent to go into the shed finding no one inside. They then asked the homeowner if they the could check his residence. Eventually the owner confessed to shooting those shots off into the ground at the victims with a .22 caliber pistol. They identified the suspect as 54-year-old Martin Munoz. 

 

They took Munoz into custody for aggravated menacing and discharging a firearm in city limits. They took away the firearm, and no injuries occurred because of the incident.
