According to the Wood County Sheriff's Office, they took 76-year-old William Grimm by air to ProMedica Toledo Hospital from the crash site, where he passed away on Monday after a three-vehicle crash on U.S Route 23, just south of Ohio Route 582.

Officers say that Grimm had stopped on southbound U.S 23 while waiting to make a left turn.. A car then struck his that was driven by the 31-year-old Chelsea Fairchild of Mansfield. The hit caused his car to veer into the northbound lane, where it was subsequently struck by another car driven by 21-year-old Andrew Holcomb of Gibsonburg.

Both Fairchild and Holcomb were taken to area hospitals with minor injuries. The crash is still under investigation.
