Hancock County Sheriff's Office Receive Grant

Sheriff Michael E. Heldman announced today that the Hancock County Sheriff's Office has been awarded $41,204.04 in federal traffic safety funding from the Ohio Traffic Safety Office. 

 

The funds passed onto the OTSO are from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration in support of safety partners statewide. They focus on restriant use, impaired & distracted driving, motorcycle safety and youthful drivers.

 

The OTSO receive competitive grant proposals to be reviewed and accepted. The Funds are then awarded to the project that will have a great impact on lowering fatal crashes and imrpoving traffic safety systems.
