Ballreich's Bought by Cincinnati Food Manufacturer

Local food manufacture, Balleich Snack Foods, has been acquired by Grippo's out of Cincinnati. The goal is to enhance productivity, brand portfolio and market outreach. 

 

Both companies were founded over 100 years ago. Leading their industries in the regions they are located in. Ballreich was created in 1920 by Fred and Ethel Ballreich. While Grippo's was a family owned business back in 1919. It was started by Angelo and Emma Grippo in downtown Cincinnati making sugar cones and pretzels. 

 

Grippo's are the official chip for the Cincinnati Reds, Columbus Blue jackets, University of Cincinnati Athletics, Xavier University Athletics, FC Cincinnati, the Cincinnati Zoo and the Cincinnati Bengals.

 

The company's snacks can be found in Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana and Tennessee.
