67-year-old Brian Lee Ziessler was sentenced Wednesday morning for 15 years to life in a state prison for murdering his wife in 2021 at their Marion Township home. Zeissler was senteced by the Hancock County Common Pleas Court by Judge Jonathan Starn.

The autopsy of 59-year-old Sherri Ziessler found six gunshot wounds. The lab testing determined that he used a revolver and was found at the crime scene near the victims body with six fired special cartridge cases.  

Zeissler will be eligible for parole after 15 years and has already recieved credit for 668 days at the Hancock County Jail.
