The Council's Water and Sewer Committee will be meeting Wednesday at 4:00 pm to go over the request from the state to run water to Van Buren State Park.
This request is the first phase of the Ohio Department of Natural Resources Division of Parks and Watercraft. The goal is to revitalize the resevoir at the Van Buren Lake dam by creating wetlands and habitat areas.
ODNR, with the help of H2Ohio, has proposed that by revitalizing the area will be to decommission the dam. This will allow new wetlands and habitat areas to grow and reduce nutrients, sediments and other pollutants that flow through the reservoir area from the watershed that feeds Rocky Ford Creek.
You can either attend the meeting at the Findlay Municipal Building at 318 Dorney Plaza, or watch it live on the city's YouTube page: Findlay Ohio.
