Fostoria Students Receive Hyde Champions Club Certificate

On Tuesday, 53 Fostoria Junior/Senior High School students that are in pursuit of scholarship money had a zoom call with former Fostoria All-Ohio football player, and now Buffalo Bill, Micah Hyde. The call was to announce that each student would receive a certificate from Hyde’s Champions Club.

Hyde created the club in 2021 through his IMagINe for Youth foundation. Students can start taking part when they are in seventh grade and can continue on through graduation. During that time, students receive credits by participating in two sports and maintaining honor roll-level grades.

If students collect all the required credits, they will receive $5,000 to use for their post-secondary education. Students receive a certificate at the end of each quarter of the school year to keep them on pace for the award.

Below are the certificate recipients:

Freshmen: Noah Bernal, Barrett Hernandez, Kamari Johnson, Anthony Kleinmark, KK McBeth-McMullen, Reece Ramirez, Amaiyah Rodriguez, Ezekiel Sensabaugh, Landan Sherman, Dawson Smith, AmariusAmir Velasquez, Addison Wright, Reese Young.
