On Tuesday, Nicholas Scoles, was promoted to the rank of fire captain in the City Council chamber. Scoles will be responsible for supervising fire crews that will begin on Septmeber 17. Since 2011 Scoles has been a firefighter. During that time he has earned his Emergency Medical Technician and Hazmat Technician certifications, became a Swift Water Rescue Swimmer and has been a part of the Tactical EMS team. When he isn't on the job, Scoles has served on the National Alliance on Mental Illness, was an Honor Flight Guardian and volunteer with Habitat for Humanity.
