Well let's see... I'm from a big family. I'm the second oldest of 6 kids and I have 11 aunts/uncles and I wouldn't trade them for the world.

I graduated in 2006 from Upper Arlington High School in Columbus and graduated in 2011 from THE Ohio State University. If you're wondering why I spent 5 years in college, it's because for some reason I thought it was a good idea to get two degrees, one in mathematics and one in journalism (no, I don't want to write articles on math lol).

I started off in media writing for Ohio State's student paper and calling basketball games for the student radio group. My first internship was through OSU's Athletic Dept. where I was the voice of the OSU Women's basketball team for the 2010-2011 season, then I got to intern at WBNS-FM 97.1 The Fan in Columbus where I gained some invaluable experience and realized that radio was what I wanted to do for a career.

I'm a HUGE sports fan/nerd (Buckeyes, Bengals, Reds and Blue Jackets), movie buff (if you didn't already guess from my daily movie quote game) and music fan (AC/DC, Fall Out Boy and Goo Goo Dolls to name a few).

Moved up to Findlay from Columbus to start working at WBVI/WFOB in August and still getting used to things, but I love it here and I thank my lucky stars for the opportunity to do what I love with such a great company in such an awesome city!

  • My NFL Predictions!

Alright, before the season started. I wanted to get my NFL picks out there. Statistically speaking, these are terrible picks, because at least 4 new teams make the playoffs every year, and I picked a lot of the same new faces. I keep wavering between thinking that my Bengals will miss the playoffs, or will make a deep run in the playoffs. Not going to lie, but 2 of the last three years I gue...

  • Why you need to get on board with the Blue Jackets (and hockey) if you haven't already...

15 years ago, there wasn’t much of a following for Ohio professional hockey. Most NHL fans in Ohio went North and followed the Red Wings, West and followed the Blackhawks or East and followed the Penguins (believe me, they show up in droves whenever these teams visit Columbus). Then however, Columbus founded the Blue Jackets in 2000. Through about a decade of hockey, the Jackets were a...

  • Super Hero Powers

If you could have one super power what would it be?                   We’ve all been asked this before, and it’s a lot of fun to entertain the idea and bounce your thoughts off of other people and gauge what’d be the best power to have. Flying would be awesome for many obvi...

  • My take on Rob Chudzinski's firing

Let me just start by saying that I am not a Browns fan and that outside their two games against my Bengals I don’t really care how they do, especially if my Bengals are playing well. My hatred for the Steelers is much more than my dislike of the Browns. That being said, I think the Browns made a pretty bad decision firing their head coach Rob Chudzinski.   ...

  • Favorite Christmas Songs

Favorite Christmas Songs. Alright I am a big Christmas song guy. I am known to sing them year-round (apologies to my family), but I’m not bad enough to where I wish they were played year round. As much as I love Christmas songs, I am quite picky with them. I like all the usual songs, just only a few renditions. Most of the other ones I feel are lazily done just to make money...

  • Sin Hielos

So I was out to lunch with Josh and Trish yesterday, and when the waitress asked us for our drinks, I ordered my usual “Diet Coke with no ice.” The waitress paused for a second, and then mentioned how her grandson was the only other person she knew that ordered her drinks without ice and ho...

  • Proper Road Trip Etiquette

So I’ve got a 6+ hour car trip to Wisconsin that I’m making with a friend this weekend… Excited about us getting to visit our buddy who lives up there, but excited about the trip itself? Not so much. I can’t help but think of the other things I could be doing for over six hours…   Watch 3 movies (provided it’s not the ...

  • A Sports Fan's Predicament

Alright so I’m going to be in Pittsburgh this weekend visiting a friend, and he texted me earlier this week and said he got tickets to a Pittsburgh Pirates game. I was excited to go, cause I have a semi-serious life goal (really just too lazy to make it a super-serious one) of watching a baseball...

  • Phobias

We’re all afraid of something. Some have more logical fears than others, but I think it’s safe to say that most people have that one (or many) irrational fear, or phobia of something that most people find well… dumb. I’ll be the first to admit that I frequently attack the logic behind some of the stra...

  • Bachelor Party

So I'm getting to that point in life where a lot of my friends are starting to get hitched. And with every wedding, there are bachelor(ette) parties. I have my first bachelor party this weekend, and I have no idea what to expect. No I don't forsee myself waking up with any babies in the closet or tigers in the bathroom (though the Hangover was an awesome movie), but ...
