They say, as a child, you know exactly what you love to do, and are most likely to work in that profession as an adult. That may not be true for some people, but for me, I can honestly say whoever said that was right! I knew from a young age that I wanted to work in media, I just didn't know what to technically call it. I remember putting on shows for my babysitters, and establishing my very own recording studio (not really), making music and videos with friends and family. It wasn't until my senior year in high school, that I decided to study Media and Broadcast Journalism in college, due to the influence of my great uncle, who has worked as a meteorologist, news reporter, and radio show host. I am currently a senior undergraduate student at Bowling Green State University.
Music has always been my first love. I know that sounds so typical, but it's true! The first artist I had ever listened to was Christian/Gospel singer, Hezekiah Walker. Shortly after that, I stumbled upon an old cassette that used to belong to my mother, at my grandparents house, and since then, my life was forever changed; that cassette was the album Bad (1987), by the one and only, Michael Jackson. I'm also a huge Ariana Grande fan, but overall, I'm a fan of all genres of music!
My journey at Tri-County Broadcasting began back in September of 2016, when I was hired as a board operator for both of our stations. As of right now, I am still a board operator, but added being Gabrielle Madonna's intern, and On-Air talent for the week/weekend update to my resume. You can catch me on the Morning Mix, with Gabby and Dan, Mondays and Fridays at 9:30am!
