Findlay, Ohio, Thursday, November 26, 2015 (Thanksgiving Day) at StoneBridge Church – Making hunger take a holiday! StoneBridge Church will have the pleasure of hosting the Annual Free Community Thanksgiving Meal. In 2014 over 1,200 people enjoyed 50 turkeys, 16 hams, and various side dishes. This has been a great opportunity for the community to come together to serve each other and to enjoy great food and good company. This event is open to anyone who is hungry, would like some company or simply doesn’t want to cook. This year it is estimated that 250 volunteers, as well as, the support of many local companies and groups will be needed to make this year's event a success. This year there will be a drive-thru carry-out from 11:30-2pm in addition to the dine in and delivery options. The Free Community Thanksgiving Meal started many years ago at Red Lobster and has been hosted by StoneBridge Church for the last 10 years. This event is made possible by the hard work and dedication of the entire community. Photorealistic watercolor paintings by area residents will be on display at Wesley Memorial Art Gallery and Garden, October 1, 2015 through November 29th. They are students of Findlay, Ohio professional artist, Laura Barnhardt Corle. The Gallery, a member of the Fostoria Community Arts Council, is located at 1200 Van Buren St., Fostoria, in the handicapped accessible narthex of Wesley United Methodist Church.
