Photorealistic watercolor paintings by area residents will be on display at Wesley Memorial Art Gallery and Garden, October 1, 2015 through November 29th. They are students of Findlay, Ohio professional artist, Laura Barnhardt Corle. The Gallery, a member of the Fostoria Community Arts Council, is located at 1200 Van Buren St., Fostoria, in the handicapped accessible narthex of Wesley United Methodist Church. The Gallery is open to the public Monday through Friday, 9am to 6pm, and Saturdays and Sundays, 9am to 3pm. For further information, please call 419-619-5388.

Art in the Park: Nature Journaling

From 7:00PM to 8:30PM

A nature journaling workshop will be held at Oakwoods Nature Preserve’s Richard S. “Doc” Phillips Discovery Center on Thursday, November 19 from 7-8:30 PM. Join artist, naturalist and park volunteer, Sharon Hammer Baker for a workshop that will explore nature journaling techniques, including observation skills, sketching, drawing, painting and writing. Nature journaling will utilize live and mounted wildlife and fresh and collected materials from the park to enhance the experience. Participants should bring their own sketch book and art supplies. This free program is recommended for teenagers and adults. Registration is not required. Oakwoods Nature Preserve’s Richard S. “Doc” Phillips Discovery Center is located at 1400 Oakwoods Lane, off CR 144, west of Findlay.
