8th ANNUAL TIFFIN ART FAIR

From 9:30AM to 4:00PM

The Tiffin Art Guild is looking for artists to show and sell their work at the 8th Annual Tiffin Art Fair which is held on the Courthouse Square in Tiffin on August 8 from 9:30 am to 4 pm. ALL SPORTS MEETING, FOSTORIA

2:00PM

All-Sports meeting will be held on Sunday, August 2, at 2pm in the Fostoria High School PAC. Any student planning on playing a sport in the 2015-16 school year needs to attend the meeting and have a parent or guardian with them. Important information and updates will be shared at this time. Also, our Fall picture date (HS only) will be on August 12. Times aren't completely set in stone just yet, but it looks like we will be starting at the HS around 3pm and then moving to the stadium.

SMOKE HOUSE FUNDRAISER DINNER

Fostoria has a team out of the Smoke House Team Offshore that have made it to the national 8 ball championships in Las Vegas from the 16-23 of august the team members are Captain Will Rice, co captain Bobby Parsons, Joe Oren, Richard Blackburn, Dave Durain, Nancy Allison and Jason Blackburn Sr., all from Fostoria. We are also hosting a chicken dinner 1/2 chicken plus 2 sides for $10.00 at the Smoke House on Sunday, August 2nd. We will be selling tickets all over town to help raise money for the trip. They can take their dinner home or eat in for drink specials and a 50/50 drawing at 8pm.

Wood County Historical Museum Seeks Personal Collections for New Exhibit The Wood County Historical Museum is seeking applications from the public for a new exhibit: Be Your Own Museum: Our Community’s Collections - a new museum experience where the public can become the curator, expected to open February 1, 2016. This call for submission is open to all Wood County residents, past or present. Applications and details can be found on the museum website at www.woodcountyhistory.org or picked up at the museum Monday – Friday, 10 AM – 4 PM, 13660 County Home Road, Bowling Green. Applications are due by September 1, 2015. This is an application process and not all submissions are guaranteed to be included in the exhibit. The Wood County Historical Society reserves the right to accept on loan an entire collection, a portion, or to deny this collection at any time. If accepted, the Collection Owner will work with the Museum’s Curator to negotiate delivery, presentation, and pick-up of all items. Collections will remain on display from February 1 – December 16, 2016. Local history is personal history, and we hope to see how they tie together. The Wood County Historical Museum strives to share the history of Wood County’s residents, and what better way to examine our past but through the collections of today’s citizens.
