Vernal Pools, HPD, FINDLAY

From 1:00PM to 4:00PM

Come out to the park and learn all about vernal pools. Who lives in the vernal pool and what do they feed on? Why are they important to our eco system? There will be a movie, activities and a hike to our vernal pools. Come prepared to do some wading if the water is high enough to find those little creatures in the pool. Join Program Specialist, Chris Allen on Sunday, May 24 at the Oakwoods Nature Preserve, Discovery Center from 1-4 PM. A vernal pool exploration will take place at 2:30 PM. All ages are welcome; program is free and registration is not required. The Oakwoods Nature Preserve, “Doc” Phillips Discovery Center is located at 1400 Oakwoods Lane, off West Sandusky Street, off CR 144, west of Findlay.
