The Salvation Army of Findlay will be holding its second annual Soup for Two fundraiser on Friday, November 7 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church, 120 W. Sandusky Street, Findlay. For a donation of $5, soup, salad, bread, dessert and a drink will be offered. Both dine in and carry out options will be available. Thanks to generous donations, soups to choose from will include tomato basil made by Main Street Deli, caramelized onion, potato and pear soup made by We Serve. Coffee and Italian wedding soup made by Sodexo at the University of Findlay. Salad and breadsticks will be provided by Olive Garden, and cookies will be provided by Main Street Deli, Great Scot, and Redeemer Lutheran Church. Door prizes will be awarded and raffle tickets will be available for prizes including a handcrafted soup mug set from Dave Charles of Soggy Bottom Pottery.

The Wood County Historical Museum is pleased to host a nationally-recognized photography exhibit by Christopher Payne called Asylum: "Inside the Closed World of State Mental Hospitals". The exhibit and companion book will be in the new gallery space at the Wood County Historical Museum May 31 - November 16, 2014. An opening reception is planned for Friday, May 30, from 6-8pm, with Payne's remarks and book signing. This event is free and open to the public.
