18TH ANNUAL FISH FESTIVAL-HPD, FINDLAY

Young anglers can try their luck as the Hancock Park District hosts its annual Youth Fishing Event on Saturday, May 3, from 8-11am at Giertz Lake in Riverbend Recreation Area. The event is being hosted in cooperation with a trout stocking courtesy of the Ohio Department of Natural Resources. The event is open to youth, 4-13 years of age, and must be accompanied by an adult (at least 18 years of age). Upon arrival, all anglers must register at the Lake Front Activity Center, which starts at 7:30am. Fishing will be allowed by the bank only. The fishing is for children, but limited adult assistance is permitted. All state fishing rules and regulations must be followed and anglers are asked to take home the first five trout they catch. No catch and release, permitted. Live bait will be for sale on site. Throughout the morning, registered participants names will be drawn for random prize drawings. Participants must be present to win. Prizes are being donated courtesy of the, ODNR Division of Wildlife, WFIN/WKXA/The Fox, and Centennial Screen Printing and Engraving. The event is also sponsored by Culver’s this year. Food and drink concession will also be available by the Findlay Area Civitan Club, in shelter 4. The Youth Fish Festival will be held rain or shine, except in the event of extremely threatening weather conditions. Riverbend Recreation Area is located on TR 208, off SR 568 east of Findlay.

YOGA IN THE PARKS, HPD, FINDLAY

YOGA IN THE PARKS Join Open Circle Yoga and Wellness Center for a free one hour yoga class in the beauty of nature on Saturday, May 3, starting at 9am at Riverside Park. All skill levels welcome, with no experience necessary. Please dress for comfort, bringing water and a yoga mat or towel. Meet near the Waterfalls Pavilion, and then join us for yoga on the lawn. FREE CHILDREN'S ART'S WORKSHOP, FOSTORIA

The Fostoria Community Arts Council will hold a free Children's Art Workshop to celebrate Mother's Day and Spring on Saturday, May 3rd, from 10:00 a.m. until noon at our office at 125 So. Main St., Fostoria. Ms. Cheryl Graves will conduct the workshop for kids 1st through 5th grades. Everyone is welcome. Mother's Day cards and Spring gifts to take home will be made! The Odd Couple: Female Version

Unger and Madison will soon be fighting it at the LuCille Tack Center for the Arts – Florence Unger and Olive Madison that is -- in Neil Simon’s classic comedy, The Odd Couple (the female version). Instead of the poker party that begins the original version, sloppy Olive invites the girls over for a rousing game of Trivial Pursuit much to the dismay of her new neat-freak roommate, Florence. The upstairs neighbors have evolved from the Pidgeon sisters to the Costanzuela brothers, but the hilarious hi-jinks are the same as the audience remembers. Reviewers have called the play: “Endearingly funny…” and “Hysterical.” The Odd Couple (the female version) will be performed at the LuCille Tack Center for the Arts, May 2 & 3 at 7:30 PM. General admission tickets are $5.00 at the door.

trideaDANCE, Ritz Theatre, Tiffin

trideaDANCE, the resident contemporary dance company of the Ritz Theatre, will return for its eighth annual spring performance. The all new program will feature an assortment of must-see guest performers from throughout Ohio, including young dancers from Tiffin and the surrounding area. The concert will showcase world-premier and original works created by some of the regions best choreographers. Through its eclectic movement style, trideaDANCE explores the quirks and intricacies of everyday life, and strives to make dance accessible and enjoyable to a variety of audiences. These diverse works will broaden your definition of dance, enlighten and delight!
