A MODEL TRAIN SHOW WILL BE HELD AT THE ERIE COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS, 3110 COLUMBUS AVE., SANDUSKY. THE SHOW IS SPONSORED BY THE FIRELANDS SOCIETY OF MODEL RAILROADERS AND WILL HAVE MANY VENDORS OFFERING ALL TRACK GAGES. Annual Celebration of harvests of harvests of the past with music provided by the Dulcimer Gatherin, demonstrations of brewing, horse-drawn hayrides, children's activities, livestock and other exhibits. Visit our living history characters at the 1840's McKinnis House and workshop. Old Fashioned bean soup will be made over an open fire and will be available for a donation. It's a full afternoon of FREE family entertainment.

THE FOSTORIA AREA HISTORICAL SOCIETY IS RAFFLING OFF 2 TICKETS FOR THE OHIO STATE PENN STATE FOOTBALL GAME ON OCTOBER 26TH AT OHIO STADIUM IN COLUMBUS. TICKETS ARE $3 EACH OR 2 FOR $5. (PARKING NOT INCLUDED) IN ADDITION, THERE WILL BE TWO OTHER PRIZES. THE SECOND PRIZE WILL BE A 1958 ROSE BOWL PROGRAM (OHIO STATE VS OREGON) THE THIRD PLACE PRIZE IS A COPY OF THE NEW DVD, THE HISTORY OF FOSTORIA, VOLUME 1, WHICH WILL BE RELEASED 9/17. THE FALL CLEAN UP AT FOUNTAIN CEMETERY IN FOSTORIA WILL TAKE PLACE ON OCTOBER 1ST. LOT OWNERS ARE ASKED TO REMOVE ALL SUMMER DECORATIONS FROM THEIR LOTS. ANY REMAINING ITEMS, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THOSE DIRECTLY ON THE STONE, WILL BE DISPOSED OF BY THE CEMETERY EMPLOYEES. LOT OWNERS ARE ASKED TO WAIT UNTIL AFTER OCTOBER 4TH BEFORE PLACING NEW FALL AND WINTER DECORATIONS ON THEIR LOTS.
